Daniel Polman

Cyclist and Publicist

I’m Daniel Polman and I am a professional cyclist and publicist. Since 2006, I have been working as the editor-in-chief of a Czech magazine called Lidé & Hory (People & Mountains), and I have authored a number of Czech-language books on outdoor tourism, including a few sports-inspired fairy tales for kids. Aside from that, I regularly publish articles in several sports and travel periodicals.

When I’m not writing, I’m usually riding. Every year I participate in more than two dozen cycling races, both on my road bike and mountain bike. Last year, I competed in Race Across America, the world’s toughest cycling ultramarathon. After 10 days, 19 hours, 47 mins, and 4,940 kilometers, I finished the race in 7th place.

Why I use Mana?

"I burn a lot of calories, usually more than I can replenish. So, when I do eat, I have to make it count. Mana is perfect for me because it’s extremely nutrient-rich, and it doesn’t weigh me down or upset my stomach when I am training or in the middle of a race. Plus, I love the taste. The neutral flavour has really grown on me over time."
